Independent Reading Documents
Simply click on the title of the document you want to download/print, save it to your computer, and then print it. They are in .pdf format. (Make sure to take note of where you are saving it on your computer.)
Remember that you should take no longer than 5 weeks from the time you start reading a book to the date you present your Book Talk. (If you finish your book early, please present the Book Talk the Friday after you finish reading your book; activities will be due at the end of the following week.) **Your standing assignment is to read for a minimum of 30 minutes a day, or 2 and 1/2 hours a week. |
Independent Reading Packet is the same packet I handed out to students the first week of school It should be behind the Independent Reading tab in your binder. Feel free to download this copy if you need.
Filling out a Book Selection Form is one of the first things you will need to do once you've found a book you want to read. Please make sure to follow the directions for filling out a BSF that are in the IR Packet. If you download this document, you will need to cut the four apart that are on the page.
Reader Response Prompts is the same document that is stapled to the inside of the front cover of the Reader Response Journals (composition notebooks). This document also has the rubric on the third page.
